The inspiration for this soft-coloured piece is a collection of stones I gathered this summer on Findhorn beach in Scotland, an ecological community with a beautiful, rugged shoreline full of pebbles in pale blue, soft grey, soft pink, pebble white and slate blue. A peaceful and endless coastline where you can stroll and daydream, whilst breathing in the salty sea air.

I hope you can sense the atmosphere of that Scottish beach when you look at this painting, whilst enjoying a warm cup of tea on a balmy summer’s evening (or a good dram of whisky after a brisk autumn walk).

Hi! I’m Yvonne. I'm an painter, writer, pizza lover, book wurm, dreamer and weight lifter. I’m also a life-long member of the PPPA (People-Pleasing Perfectionists Anonymous). That’s right: I have ZERO tolerance for other people’s BS. 😈

My art is soulful, healing, and a little out of the box. I LOVE big fonts, savvy quotes, watercolours, combined with swirly lines and contrasting with black.
